* The Center offers comprehensive evaluation and treatment with a variety of therapies, including behavioral modification, pelvic floor rehabilitation, biofeedback, bladder re-training, medications, transurethral injections, vaginal inserts, minimally invasive surgery (Laparoscopic Surgery), almost all surgeries for Urinary Incontinence and all types of vaginal surgery.
During your first visit to our office, our physician will conduct an interview and consultation followed by a physical exam directed toward your symptoms and concerns. An examination typically includes an evaluation of the pelvic organs and pelvic floor muscles.
Pelvic ultrasound will be done and in some cases a measurement of post voids residual bladder volume (PVR). PVR is measured to determine the adequacy of bladder evacuation.
Treatment is available for the following conditions:
.:: Chronic Pelvic Pain:
Chronic pelvic pain is a common problem among women. It may arise from the bladder, such as interstitial cystitis; from a gynecologic problem, such as endometriosis; or from the bowel, as in irritable bowel syndrome. A variety of diagnostic tests are performed and therapies with the greatest chance for success are selected.
.:: Sexual Dysfunction:
Sexual dysfunction is broadly defined as the inability to fully enjoy sexual intercourse. Specifically, sexual dysfunctions are disorders that interfere with a full sexual response cycle. These disorders make it difficult for a person to enjoy or to have sexual intercourse. While sexual dysfunction rarely threatens physical health, it can take a heavy psychological toll, bringing on depression, anxiety, and debilitating feelings of inadequacy.
